I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The rental was an overall good experience. It was a nice place to stay with enough around it - and whatever wasn't right nearby wasn't too far of a drive. We were able to enjoy the lake and easily get to Glacier National and the National Bison Range. We had a blast! The only negative part of our stay was the lack of kitchen utensils for making a simple scrambled egg breakfast - no spatula! We also had a plastic pipe from the water heater break during the middle of the night (although that did not affect our water supply or our stay).

Very cozy log cabin in beautiful setting. Had everything you need. My husband and I enjoyed this cozy cabin with nice mountain and lake views. We cook dinner a lot when staying in places like this so the kitchen appliances could use some updating. But other than that, it was a wonderful experience!

We had a wonderful stay at Elk Crest Cabin! We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet retreat (that is also conveniently located to towns and nature). The cabin was clean, had a nice layout and had a charming "Montana" feel. There is a beautiful view of Flathead Lake and the mountains in the distance from the front porch. Raina was so helpful and accommodating in the time leading up to our reservation and provided a few suggestions of things to do in the area. The only hiccup in the trip was that the refrigerator was set too low and froze some of our food. Otherwise the accommodations were exactly what we were looking for and exceeded our expectations. Beautiful property!!

The cabin was neat and clean and easy access to various points of interest surrounding Glacier National Park. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend the property if you are looking for a place that is quiet yet a very short distance to BigFork.

The cabin was perfect! We enjoyed the view of the lake and all the statues around the property. It was close enough to Glacier National Park to do a little extra hiking.

We enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It has a nice view of the sliver of the lake and is really close to the little town of big fork. The cabin does have two neighbors on top of the hill so it's not necessarily secluded. I gave it 4 stars based on some small issues we had in that it explicitly says you get two rolls of toilet paper and we unfortunately found out there was only one on our last night :(, we only were provided one trash bag which wasn't big deal but a little weird considering the previous. Ovearll a nice place in Montana if you are in the Flathead lake area.

Beautiful log cabin on a peaceful scenic setting with view of Flathead Lake from the rear deck! Feels secluded yet you are 5 minutes from historic downtown Bigfork and the Flathead Brewing company! Highly recommend and we would love to return! 50 minutes from Glacier NP!

We enjoyed the cabin and liked that it was close to the park/lake as well downtown. It isn’t as private as I’d expected - it’s right in between some other houses - but it was very peaceful all the same. It’s only set up for light cooking but that was fine for us. And the shower is hot and has great water pressure!

My husband and I stayed at this cabin on our honeymoon and it was absolutely perfect. It was right in the middle of all the activities we wanted to enjoy and the most we had to travel was 40 minutes! It was a 5 minute drive to the lake and maybe a 10 minute drive to a grocery store. Although it's close to a lot of conveniences when you are at the cabin it doesn't feel that way at all!

It’s a very cute one bedroom cabin with views a flathead lake, very close to downtown, and easy access to the water and hiking trails. My husband and I loved sitting out on the porch in the evening, enjoying the cool summer evenings. We appreciated the cans of bear spray available for us to take on our hikes.

Extremely comfortable! Very quiet, fit the bill perfectly for my wife and I's 4 night stay, would visit again without hesitation!

What an awesome cabin stay! Elk Crest is a great cabin, with everything you need. Comfortable bed and great linens. Killer view from the deck, especially at sunset! Feels secluded, but you are minutes away from Bigfork. Tip: arrive during daylight, it’s tricky to spot the turn.

Communication was excellent and everything was ready for us when we checked in! The place was relaxing and just what we needed.

Everything was clean and very pleasant. Loved the location.

Elk Cabin is beautiful and the view was amazing. Great location after boating on Flathead Lake. We loved the woodworking and rustic touches.

The cabin was perfect for our needs. It was exactly what we wanted and then some! The furnace went down just before we arrived and they were offering to put us in another place instead. We really loved the place as is so we assured them we didn’t mind feeding the shepherd stove to keep warm. We, ourselves have a wood furnace in our home so this was nothing new to us. They had a heating guy there immediately and when they found that the furnace needed to be replaced and since we were fine with the accommodations in spite of it all, they ran straight to Home Depot right that moment and bought space heaters to keep us warm. It worked beautifully and we were toasty and comfy for our entire stay! It was a sad time for us as we suffered some losses over the few days just before we arrived. Brian and Raina made our Christmas special. We plan on spending more Christmas’s in the cabin in the coming years. Thank you for making this one a Christmas to remember!

My husband and I spent the last 4 days of a 10 day vacation to Montana at this cabin. We were celebrating our anniversary and finally being finished with school and in our chosen fields. We came here after camping in Glacier NP for 3 nights and it was such a nice place to relax. I had originally planned some outings in the national forest but ended up staying in Bigfork the entire time. We happened open the first of the summer weekly concerts (highly recommend if you are there on a Sunday, it's just down the road in the park, only 5 dollars per person!) and a farmers market on Monday. We ate at Taco Mexico and Burgertown, both of which were excellent. We cooked pancakes and bacon each morning in the kitchen. We could not be happier with our stay in Bigfork.

Once we got up to the house I was confused because the description said “off the grid feel”. However, it was a little neighborhood in the woods, houses all around, 100 yards from the hwy. The view was very pretty, we sat out in the cute little deck but after a few minutes I had ants on my feet. The bed was very comfy and the shower had good pressure. The kitchen was stocked with spices, all the dishes pots/pans and utensils you could need. There is a two burner stove, microwave, two mini fridge/freezers, and a coffee pot. Communication with the owners was great, very prompt and friendly. Over all, it had what we needed. Nevertheless, I was extremely disappointed with the “off the grid feel” description.

Loved staying here! Great views of Flathead Lake! Highly recommend with an easy drive 45 minutes to the West entrance of Glacier National Park.

The cabin was perfect for two people. It was cozy and had a view of Flathead Lake from the porch. The bathroom needs to be updated, but overall we had a nice stay.

We chose this location as it was near to a Spartan race and because we wanted a cabin with a little bit of seclusion. Our cabin was far enough off the main road for us to enjoy the comfort of nature (deer visited on the backside of the cabin) with minimal road sounds nearby. We did not get to enjoy the woodstove and cast-iron cooking, but would love to do so next time! We utilized the microwave and stovetop, shopped nearby for groceries, and went out to eat at yummy spots - everything was so close. Flathead Lake State Park - what a gem. Glacier just 35-ish minutes away. Comfy bed, comfy couch- really loved that there was no TV. Loved every minute of our stay! FYSA - wifi connectivity is poor, so be prepared to disconnect :)

This place was a remarkable find! Peaceful, quiet and with a view of the lake. It was clean and had all the amenities I needed for washing clothes and cooking meals. I was able to get some much needed rest.

We LOVED it here. If you are looking for a romantic getaway or just some quiet time away, stay here. It was everything we needed and more. The view of the lake was incredible and the cabin was absolutely wonderful! We cannot wait to stay here again.

Elk Crest cabin is a beautiful small cabin just off flathead lake, unfortunately there was smog laying on the lake but I'm sure once it's clear it has a beautiful view. Flathead lake brewing company is a shirt drive away with great beers and food. The cabin itself is very cosy, perfect for quiet down time. The shower is amazing, hot and powerful! We were a little further from Glacier national park thab I expected, however we were still able to get there each day no problem. Would definitely recommend staying here again to explore Flathead lake.

This cabin was so homey and cute! The perfect size and space for a couple's getaway or honeymoon. The town of Bigfork is small, but it has a lot of good restaurants and the lake is BEAUTIFUL! It was also close enough to drive to Glacier National Park, Kalispell, and Missoula for day trips. Overall, we loved it! The kitchen is small, and there isn't an oven or dishwasher, so if you're planning on cooking meals, keep that in mind. But overall, we would recommend this cabin!

We enjoyed our stay at the Elk Crest Cabin. It's super convenient to Bigfork with views of Flathead Lake from the cabin living room and porch. As the forced air wasn't working, the cabin was equipped with three portable radiator heaters that warmed the cabin more than adequately. Brian and Raina and their staff were very attentive to our needs and quick to respond when the coffee maker stopped working. There was a new one at our door when we returned from our day trip. We'll keep this cabin on our shortlist for sure!

Great location! Beautiful views and forest. You can hear the street, so you’re not completely isolated in the middle of the woods. But other than that, it’s a great location! Close enough to Glacier to do day trips and a minute from the cute downtown area.

The cabin was awesome! It had everything we needed to feel comfortable. The views were amazing and the location was close to everything we were looking for - restaurants, shops, close to Woods Bay and downtown Bigfork. Would definitely come back again!

My wife and I loved our stay here for three nights during our honeymoon. It was a perfect size for us, close to bigfork, everything we needed was accessible, the views were amazing despite the fire haze, and all in all a very cozy feel. Would recommend this to anyone!

this is a beautiful lil cabin on a high spot nestled in some huge Douglas Fir with a bomber view of the west shore and sunsets over Flathead Lake. It was a perfect spot for me as I visited family on the east shore and enjoyed the short drive to breakfast in Bigfork every morning at a couple different most excellent spots. If you're looking for a private cabin in the woods thats updated but still has that old time Montana feel to relax in after your daily adventures this place will not disappoint hope to stay again thanks :-)

Very nice, secluded, comfortable place to stay within easy reach of all the tourist attractions in the area. Lots of good places to eat and quaint little shops in Bigfork itself.

5 minutes the spartan race venue and from town. Back porch overlooks Flathead Lake, can't beat it! Could have used a slightly larger fridge and maybe a TV for when the sun finally goes down. Everything else was perfect for what we needed!

We really enjoyed this cabin! There’s two small fridges be prepared for that and there is a washer and dryer on the facility which was very helpful to us as it rained on us while we were there. We got to sit and watch the sunset every night and it was a spectacular view.

We appreciated the quick response time for any concerns that we had! It was a very peaceful location! We unfortunately weren't super happy with the overall cleanliness of the cabin, especially with the floors! The cabin didn't seem very clean when we arrived & we had some issues with bugs. We did reach out to the host and they did everything to make sure we were comfortable with the rest of our stay. It was relaxing & quiet. Just what is needed to unplug.

Came to Montana for Glacier National Park to relax and enjoy mother nature at its finest. The photos for this location wasn't at all what they were advertising when we arrived. landscaping wasn't done, very old furniture 1960s maybe, musty smell in the cabin. unsure how long it was unattended for, Cobwebs, dusty, old sink, patio furniture was old and rusty, the place just had so much more potential to make so much more out of what it really was. We had an issue that was fixed immediately no reason to discuss here. It just wasn't what we expected on our end.

We loved this cabin. It was spacious for 2 adults and we could have easily had room for our daughter as well. The grounds are so nice! We loved the lake views and sitting on the back porch. The cabin stayed nice and cool even though it was quite hot outside. It was close to a lot of fun activities.

This cabin is an absolute gem. It was very clean and fully stocked with everything you need. We loved the propane grill and view out back. The town has a delicious brewey and the people are incredibly friendly. We visited Glacier Mountain National Park almost every day of our stay. It was amazing. Highly recommended.

Brian & Raina surprised us with a special touch from the moment we stepped into the cabin: a welcome gift for our honeymoon! The beautiful, cozy cabin was in private setting and yet so close to Bigfork. The amenities made is possible to do our own cooking for breakfast, enjoy a little campfire and do our own laundry. What a gem! This wonderful cottage is sneaky nice! If you bother to look at everything from the furnishings, to the artwork, to the windows..... this place was built and decorated with intent. The owners even had some Christmas decorations up for our visit. We had an amazing time sitting on the deck watching the light snow fall. If you have a chance to stay here, don’t hesitate!

After spending the week in a tiny home and an airstream down in Wyoming, it felt so good to stretch our legs and sit on a couch and enjoy the views of the back yard. The washer/dryer was a life saver after 4 days of traveling. The cabin is located 40 minutes from Glacier and has great restaurants near by. Would stay again!

Really charming cabin, with nice, rustic decor ensconced in the woods with a view of flathead lake. Quiet, peaceful and very comfortable.. Kitchen is well stocked with essentials. Clothes washer was handy. While the cabin is not in a walkable location, we had a car and found that we were only a few minutes from many good things. We loved Max’s market, a vegan friendly option just down the road. Downtown Bigfork is also just a few minutes drive, with lots of restaurants, cafés, shops and an excellent farmers market. Lake access was close and easy as well. Note: cell phone signal was somewhat weak at the cabin (and in many spots in that part of Montana). Wi-Fi was not working when we were there but the hosts were accommodating and there are nearby cafes with free Wi-Fi. Overall, our experience was wonderful and we highly recommend the cabin for an authentic Montana experience

Emma Middletown, Connecticut Emma Rating, 5 stars ,· June 2024 ,· Stayed a few nights Stayed here mid June and it was exactly what we were hoping for! The place looks like the pictures. This cabin is right off the road but up a hill which makes it seem more off the beaten path. The view is gorgeous and peaceful. Overall it had everything we needed. The hosts were responsive and even provided us with a website and little booklet loaded with local suggestions of everything from food to various activities nearby! If staying here you’ll definitely want a rental car. It’s about a 45 min ride to the West entrance of Glacier National Park and took us about 2.5 hours to get to the other side, but the drive was gorgeous and worth it. If there weren’t road closures we wouldn’t have had to ride all the way around the park but that happened because of the time of the year we went (snow and going-to-the-sun road construction). There was plenty to do nearby aside from the park. We would definitely stay again if we get the chance to return!

Our stay was exactly what we were looking for when visiting the Bigfork area. It is a nice little cozy cabin and it really gives you the off the grid feeling we were looking for. Shopping and groceries are only a few minutes drive and the scenery from the deck is perfect.

This cabin was exactly what we were looking for when planning our trip to Montana. The location around Flathead Lake was beautiful. With gas stations, local restaurants/bars and close proximity to Glacier National Park made it the perfect home base. Everything about the place was exactly as described. Thank you!

The cabin looked like the photos. We just personally felt it wasn’t worth the price paid. We had a hard time connecting to the wifi the login info sent on Air BNB and the guest link texted to me both had two different WiFi information and neither worked. We finally used what was on the router and got logged in. We overlooked on the Listing NO ac or tv. (That was our mistake). It was 92 degrees the first night of our stay and it was very uncomfortable even with the plug in fans and windows open. Overall it is a nice cabin close to flat head lake and about 45 min from the west entrance of the National Park.

Cute little cabin with a nice view. Has the basics of exactly what you need. Some things were not available even though listed on site. We were expecting to be able to read through a welcome book/house manual, but instead had to download it which was difficult with limited internet(which is understandable for the area). We enjoy being able to read all of what other guests have to say. You have neighbors close by, so it's not very secluded, but we spent the majority of our time away adventuring. The drive way to the cabin is quite steep and bumpy. The team that runs the AirBnB is very responsive with messages and questions. All in all it's a good little cabin to get away to and explore the mountains!

Darling little cabin! Really beautiful timbers, feels so cozy. The kitchen has enough for basic meals, no oven or freezer which usually if fine when on vacation! Plenty of blankets and towels and standard things to feel at home.

The cabin exceeded our expectations in terms of size and comfort—it was even nicer and more spacious than the listing suggested. It was well-stocked with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. One detail to note is that there’s only a queen bed, which I didn't see mentioned in the listing. My main concern is privacy: the property is surrounded closely by neighbors, and many windows lack curtains, so this isn’t a secluded getaway. If privacy isn’t a priority for you, it’s a great spot overall.
